Carradine Validation

This is what I found out the next day

I found the following articles on 8/17/10 which my browser history can prove if you are really skeptical.

Both of his parents repeatedly married. He was the product of his mother's second marriage of three, and his father's first of four. At the time his parents married each other, his mother already had a son, Bruce, by her first husband, whom John adopted. John Carradine planned a large family but, as his son explained in his autobiography, after his wife had had a series of miscarriages, he discovered that she had had repeated illegal abortions without his knowledge. This rendered her unable to carry a baby to full term.^[12] It was with this backdrop of marital discord that at the age of 5, Jack almost succeeded in committing suicide^[17] by hanging.

He said that the incident followed his discovery that he and Bruce had different biological fathers.

He added that, "My father saved me, and then confiscated my comic book collection and burned it — which was scarcely the point".^[12]

Robert did not know who his mother was.

Carradine was raised primarily by his stepmother, his father's third wife, Doris Grimshaw, and believed her to be his mother until he was introduced to Sonia Sorel at a Christmas party when he was 14 years old.^[4] While still in high school,    

 

It seems like he was confusing his suicide attempt at the age of 5 with his actual death of which the details were scandalous but I can't be sure that was the scandal he was talking about, I don't think so. There seemed to be plenty of scandal to choose from. If he knew at 5 then he already knew as a teen about his brother, so either there is still another secret or he might have been referring to when his other brother found out similar news at 14.  The one thing indisputable is that I got the information that he and his brother had different biological fathers and that was very hard for him. He felt his death was at his own hands, whether it was confusion or true to me what matters is how he felt.
